York Hospital Walk In Care

This project required the renovation of a former car dealership located on the busy Route One in York, Maine. The goal was to create a convenient low-cost walk-in center that would be accessible from the main thoroughfare and be available to cater to many health care needs- a center for quick and local care.

The new facility boasts six examination rooms, phlebotomy rooms, x-ray technology services,  a laboratory and a pharmacy. The design intent converted car showrooms and a warehouse into an inviting and professional building with an ease of flow for patients checking in and out. Green (plant) walls were incorporated, along with careful selection of artwork and paint colors to promote a healthy environment. New mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs were implemented to accommodate the intricate requirements for laboratory equipment and examination room purposes.
