Tortilla Flat Restaurant is located at the new Brickyard Square Mall in Epping, NH. This project was an interior fit up for a new Mexican style cantina and bar. The client wanted to embrace old world design elements of a traditional Mexican restaurant but also add in some contemporary elements to create an upscale unique environment. Re-purposed vintage architectural items such as ironwork transoms, intricately carved old wood entry door and stained glass windows impart an “antique” look.

The vibrant color palette throughout was inspired by the hand-painted Mexican Talavera tiles used as accent pieces in the archways and backsplashes. Glowing soft lighting in the back bar, amber star lights above and wagon wheel candlelight fixtures create a romantic ambiance. Local artisans crafted the whimsical tile mosaic sun mural on the Lounge floor. This serves to both highlight the shape of the curved wall and drink rail and also adds a “Fiesta” flair.
