McHenry Architecture has designed an extensive renovation to a historic structure in downtown Portsmouth creating a modern and livable space overlooking the Piscataqua River.

Design features include an open concept living area with a new loft level that opens to the exterior roof deck, increased natural daylighting, views, and ventilation with motor operated skylights and windows in each space. The intensive program required a collaborative effort with the owner, architect, and builder in the adaptive re-use and renovation of this building.
