Located in Sanford Maine, the York Hospital Care Center is a stand alone 7,000 square foot building designed to offer non-emergency healthcare to the Sanford area community.

The facility includes specialized treatment rooms such as x-ray technics and processing, phlebotomy rooms, and six separate examination rooms.

Sustainable building practices were incorporated throughout the facility, including a tight building envelope that reduces the mechanical needs, sustainable siding materials in a rain-screen application. An abundance of windows allow for natural lighting in patient areas as well as the waiting room. LED lighting thought the building and a high efficiency boiler all qualified to receive rebates through the Efficiency Maine program.

The care center fulfills the need for a multi-service medical facility in an area of Maine that is continuing to grow.
